Come Easter and you’ll start preparing loads of food recipes starting from Ham, colored eggs, roast lamb, hot cross buns, to name a few. On Easter, Americans prefer having ham as it has been their traditional Easter food since ages. Similarly, Jewish community makes it a point to have roasted lamb on Easter. Ham in cherry sauce
Required ingredients-
Cooked ham ( one)
Brown sugar ( 1 cup)
Mustard ( one teaspoon)
Maple syrup ( 3 tablespoons)
Cold water ( ˝ cup)
Cornstarch ( 3 tablespoons)
Pitted Cherries
Fresh extracts of almond ( 1 teaspoon)
Method of preparation-
- Take a roasting pan and add the cooked ham in it. Now add mustard, maple syrup and brown sugar to it. Cover and bake at 325 degrees F
- For preparing the cherry sauce, take a saucepan and add to it water, cornstarch and sugar. Continue stirring the mix till it smoothens. Remove from heat and add lemon extract to it. Serve hot with the cooked ham.
Roasted lamb
Required Ingredients-
Lamb (10-15 pounds)
Vinegar ( half cup)
Dried oregano ( half teaspoon)
Olive oil ( half cup)
Pepper ( half tablespoon)
Salt to taste
Chopped onions
Potatoes
Chopped parsley
Method of preparation-
- Marinate lamb in oregano, vinegar, pepper, salt and oil. Now keep it in a freezer for about twenty four hours. Preheat the oven at 350 degrees and bake the marinated lamb along with chopped onions and potatoes for about two hours.
